Join us for the 11th annual Run For The Oaks!
5k / 10k Trail race august 1st 2026
Run for the Oaks
Be a part of the Oak Savanna Restoration Project at Left Coast Estate by participating in the 11th annual Run for the Oaks! Join us for an amazing trail race across our entire 460 acre estate. The race course changes every year and features trail sections through oak savanna, scenic vineyard blocks and gravel roads that immerse you in the breath taking beauty of wine country. All proceeds from race registrations, food, and wine sales support the Oak Savanna Restoration Project at Left Coast Estate. We've already restored 100+ acres of native oak forest in partnership with the US Fish and Wildlife Service and NRCS.
When you run with us, you're not just crossing a finish line. You're helping bring back and protect one of the most endangered ecosystems in the Willamette Valley.
The 2026 course will predominantly be on rolling terrain with gravel roads, our expanded trail network and a minimal amount of paved road segments. Run or walk through some of the most beautiful estate vineyards and old growth oak savannas in Oregon Wine Country. You will be cooled by the breezes of the Van Duzer Corridor, across a late summer wine country landscape, and your participation will be celebrated with a tasting of Left Coast's award winning wines after the race.
Our hope is that, through the years, racers will see the improvements we are making in the forest and witness their own contributions to those efforts as the restoration project develops and grows. Our goal is to continue to expand our trail system and make it a true ecological experience open to everyone who comes to visit us at the estate.

The Oak Forest Restoration Project
Left Coast Estate has over 140 acres of ecological compensation areas and 100+ acres of old growth oak forest. We are located on the ancestral lands of the Grand Ronde, Siletz, Yamhill, and Kalapuya peoples who traditionally tended the oak savanna. Through time the forest has become populated with invasive species and our goal is to restore the forest to a native oak forest. We have partnered with the US Fish and Wildlife Service and NRCS to restore our forest. They provide the technical expertise for the restoration work as well as tying us to the important regional conservation work on oak savanna restoration in the mid-Willamette Valley. Our forest is a permanent wildlife refuge in the center of our estate and creates habitat for native plants, wildlife, birds and insects as well as improving the watershed.
